Title:  Sales Account Director

Job Description

Nytec’s Product Innovation Center is seeking an Account Director who is creative, highly motivated and eager to grow with an expanding company in the Engineering and Design Services space. The Account Director should be a proactive, professional and hard-working individual who builds strong customer relationships and drives business development efforts; both net new as well as organic growth. In this role, you will work with a dedicated team to achieve business growth and brand awareness. Our ideal candidate has a technical background in Hardware and the IoT space and experience with enterprise sales into Global 100 technology companies. Familiarity and a good understanding of startup innovation and emerging technology is required. Knowing the product development lifecycle and bringing an idea to market is a must. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this Account Director is responsible for revenue generation by growing the existing customer base and acquiring new customers. We are seeking someone who is client-focused, builds lasting relationships, loves to be challenged, enjoys working with an inspired team, and is ready to innovate and drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Sales Account Director is to actively manage a portfolio of clients, account plans and participate in team selling to exceed revenue targets. This is accomplished through building trust, driving strong opportunity/pipeline management skills and strategic account management.

Contribute to and support the organization’s client strategy. Plan and execute to deliver new and organic revenue from new clients and customers.
Manage existing clients, identifying and upselling opportunities working with the internal stakeholders of Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing Management.
Messaging/positioning the Nytec value proposition using established best practices.
Recording and documenting milestone achievements following the sales process.
Manage individual sales funnel and opportunity pipeline diligently keeping CRM updated.
Work with internal technical team to ensure development of solutions to meet customers’ needs.
Develop account and growth plans.
Must be able to participate as a strong team player, working closely with Marketing, Engineering, Design and Program Management to aid in the strategic growth of the company.
Must have a “hands on” approach to working with very large complex deals that involve multiple stakeholders and be able to bring them to successful conclusions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business or relevant technical area.
A strong command of the technology startup environment and enterprise business worlds.
Sound understanding of the production and consumer product lifecycle management.
An understanding of the IoT devices market and consumer hardware.
Significant direct experience in consulting, design or engineering services sales.
Mush have hands on approach to working with enterprise sales with global 100 technology companies.
Significant experience in consulting, design or engineering services sales.
Experience with large-ticket complex clients and consultative sales.
Experience working in project based technical services/consulting environment.
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with Sr. Execs, including excellent interpersonal, verbal, active listening, written and negotiating skills.
